Woodfibre LNG Limited’s parent company signs framework agreement with Beijing Gas

BEIJING, China — On November 2, 2015, Pacific Oil & Gas Co., Ltd., the parent company of Woodfibre LNG Limited, and Beijing Gas Group Co., Ltd. signed a “Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement,” which outlines how the two companies will work together, including working towards a common goal of reaching an LNG off-take agreement.

The signing was witnessed by British Columbia Premier Christy Clark as part of her third trade mission to China, which is promoting British Columbia’s potential to supply China’s growing demand for clean energy technology.

The framework agreement between Pacific Oil & Gas and Beijing Gas is an important step towards opening new markets for BC’s natural gas, and providing natural gas, the world’s cleanest burning fossil fuel, to China to help meet the growing energy demand and improve air quality.
