Advisory:  Geotechnical work underway at Woodfibre LNG site

SQUAMISH, BC –Geotechnical and geophysical survey work will be underway at the Woodfibre site starting today until approximately mid-January 2018. 

The work is required to provide further information on the surface and sub-surface conditions of the Woodfibre site and the site foreshore.

The work will be carried out onshore and offshore during the day and at night.

 The geotechnical and geophysical survey work is happening during Fisheries and Oceans Canada’s BC Marine/Estuarine Timing Window of least risk for fish and fish habitat in Howe Sound (August 16 to January 31).
